Meet our new Music Director!

Ashton Warren, Music Director.

Born and raised in Louisiana, music has been a constant part of Ashton Warren's life. Coming from a deeply musical family, she was surrounded by music from an early age. Her father and uncle both serve as music ministers, her mother plays trumpet, and numerous family members have participated in band and choir programs. It was only natural that she would follow a similar path.

Ashton began singing in children's choirs at the churches her family attended and later joined her middle school choir, where she discovered her passion for music and realized she wanted to dedicate her life to it. She pursued every advanced choir and musical opportunity available to her, eventually earning a place in the prestigious LSU A Cappella Choir while studying Music Education.

Through her degree program, Ashton has had the opportunity to teach musicians of all ages and backgrounds. Prior to her formal teaching experiences, she developed her skills by assisting with children's music camps and church choir programs. Among her many teaching accomplishments, her favorite has been helping her younger sisters, who are also young musicians, develop a love for music-making. Ashton is excited to share her passion for music with the young singers of the Greater Baton Rouge Children's Choir.
